It is soooo disconcerting to hear AC invites have been offered from firms you have applied for isn't it 😂 I was quite pleased with my Covington application too! Fingers crossed for everyone
Thanks so much. Finding it so hard to motivate myself nowThe fact that you got 2 ACs is amazing in itself! It shows you have what firms are looking for - don't give up and you will most definitely get something
Yeah i feel when a firm doesn’t explicitly say the VS is for graduate there’s almost an implied preference for penultimate and final year students. Hence wonder if anyone had any luck with them as a graduate/career changer in previous cyclesI might be wrong but I think firms like Sidley and Davis Polk (particularly the latter firm) prefer university students (penultimate and final year).
You can search up trainees at those firms on LinkedIn and see what stages they were in when they joined the firm to see if they hire many career changers etcYeah i feel when a firm doesn’t explicitly say the VS is for graduate there’s almost an implied preference for penultimate and final year students. I got a WG invite for CMS last week! Have you heard back?Has anyone heard from CMS yet?
glad to know someone is on the same boat... I just did it yesterday..those video responses just had me sitting there 🤡
Tell me about it.... I just did mine yesterdayWell well well, I have absolutely ruined my chances with Clyde & Co! My answers didn’t even make sense lol
Can I ask when you applied?I got a WG invite for CMS last week! Have you heard back?

At least we tried lolTell me about it.... I just did mine yesterday
Do they offer feedback at all? I assume they might not but there's no harm in asking. There were so many elements and those tests were shocking so do not beat yourself up! Onwards and upwardsRejection from Simmons post-tests and video interview, *sigh*. Don't know if I somehow flubbed the video interview (I thought I did well) or my test scores weren't good enough, especially the logical reasoning one with those weird symbols 🤡
Afraid not! The email they sent specifically mentions they don't offer feedback at this stage. A bit of a bummer but oh well.Do they offer feedback at all?
