hi - did anyone else receive the baker Mckenzie test invite?

Has anyone taken the mayer brown test and what was it like

Took the situational judgement test and verbal reasoning tests today. The preparation link for the verbal reasoning they give is helpful- split into sections like spellchecking, ranking responses in terms of positivity, matching responses to the tone of a given email and classic verbal reasoning etc. My SJT closed on me after some time, is this normal for the test to cut you off?

Applied to bakers February 28 and didn’t receive anything yet. Are they sending more in the coming days or is this it? They said latest we’d hear back is mid April.

For sure there will be more. I heard back mid-late April with a test last yr.

Yeah pretty sure there were. And there were VIs and subsequently like 6 ACs so definitely quite a few people got invited at least to the test

That’s great, thanks!!! Wish firms would send all their tests/VI/AC invites out at once, my heart sinks everytime I see people post they’ve got one when I’m waiting

No - no an immediate rejection. Will depend much more on how much/the quality of what you had said in the time allocated.

From PMC: "What improvements would you make to Penningtons Manches Cooper as a Trainee and why?"

Does anyone else not fully understand this question? Does it mean what would you do whilst working as a trainee to make PMC better? or does it mean what would you do to make life as a PMC Trainee better?

Am rather perplexed.

Hi everyone- I cant believe I’m writing this, but I’ve been offered a TC at a TME and private client firm (not sure if I can say where yet)!!! 🥳

Might be cliché, but I will say that it’s so important to keep persevering. I’ve engaged in so many widening participation schemes and volunteered at every opportunity.

Given my dyslexia and care-experience, the journey hasn’t always been easy. I specifically mention this as I’m passionate about widening participation, so feel free to message me. I really want people with a similar background to me to feel confident in themselves and understand their value!!
