I’m not sure how much weight is given to each element, but I think the written answers may be more important. I got to the final interview the first time, but got rejected post app this year with the same test scores. So the only difference was my written answers, which I felt were a bit rushed- Z48

When I applied for direct tc this March I didn’t redo the test cause it was within a year from my 2023 direct tc app (only by a couple days). But I applied for the winter vs this cycle and had to redo the test, so I think it’s only a year- Z48

They changed their process last year and now only recruit through the direct TC (from their website it looks like they’re doing a graduate solicitor apprenticeship route this year too). Future trainees do the CMS academy which used to be their VS- Z48

You can only apply to Hogan Lovells once between September-July. Some firms let you apply for a vacation scheme and training contract in the same year, but I don’t know of any that let you apply to two vacation schemes in one cycle- Z48

When you click the apply link on the requirements it says “Students in their penultimate or final year of study, or graduates from any degree discipline”, so I’d say yes. Non-law to SQE
It depends on the firm, but I think most firms still require non-law grads to do the pgdl so you’d do that in the first year (around sept 2025) then probably start the SQE around sept 2026. Looks like that’s the route for Pinsent Masons based on their website, not sure about Eversheds. Some...- Z48
