Just to follow up on this, I emailed AG grad rec with my individual module grades and got this response:
"You were correct in saying we don't need your individual modules – we previously asked for this on our old system but have streamlined the application this year."
So I imagine Irwin...
What?! I just don't understand how you can add them, unless you enter each individual module as a separate qualification. But it says 'course title', so that doesn't seem right.
Really nervous now because Irwin Mitchell used the same application form and I didn't upload individual grades for...
I received this mid-December. If you haven't seen it then maybe check your junk folder?
"Thank you for submitting your application for our 2021 Vacation Placement (England). We can confirm that your application has been received and will be screened in the coming weeks by a member of the...
The way I look at it is that you might not get to an interview. So you need to showcase your absolute best on the application. I held back last year and it resulted in me not getting past the application for many firms. Don't make that mistake - use every opportunity to stand out.
Tell them...
They started sending AC invites just before Christmas. I think they've been sending them in batches each week. I have my AC next Tuesday (eek) - I applied back in October. They didn't mention the WG at all - they don't release your scores - so I guess the only way of knowing for sure if you...
That's what everybody else has said. My own instinct it to take ownership of it - it was an honest mistake because of the odd format of the application. But then I've been punished in the past for being honest/doing the right thing, so...
I've put six. When I was doing the application (in a Word document) I had three. Then when I came to uploading them, I forgot that it only asked for three because it allowed me to add more. So I ended up adding others. I only realised after I had submitted that that was what they had asked for...
One of my other applications didn't ask for individual module grades either (Irwin Mitchell, which had a very similar submission format).
With the work experience is that they specifically ask for 'up to 3' examples, so my concern is that I basically look like I can't follow simple...
Yeah, I just put my degree title and selected 'predicted' 'first'.
I did balls up their work experience section because of the format though. I entered the 3 work experiences they asked for and then must have kept adding them (because it let me) and ended up with 6. I've been toying with...
How do you mean? I didn't see anywhere to enter individual modules or grades. I know that they have removed A level requirements "to allow a more diverse pool of candidates to apply for training contracts", so I assumed that this was the same reason.
I'm laughing nervously because I feel the same (except I've still got a few to submit!).
Although I have an AC to prepare for and two 3000 word essay to submit by next Wednesday, so at least I'm too busy to check my email folder every 15mins!
I submitted mine - there isn't space for a breakdown. There wasn't last year, either. I think it's because they're trying to encourage candidates who are usually blocked by academics to apply.
My understanding is that most TCs are awarded to vac schemers but not all.
There definitely is an interview and AC for the vac scheme though. I believe that they have moved back to a telephone interview, rather than a video one, to reduce unconscious bias.
