I can definitely try but at university I never had the same tutor for more than one module and my personal tutor left after my first year and was never replaced. I'm supposed to have a professional tutor for my reference but she left the university after I graduated and she hasn't been replaced.
I do have mitigating circumstances but they don't appear to make that much difference to be honest. I just got rejected from a firm that I've visited on multiple occasions and have work experience with. My application was reviewed by trainees at the firm and careers advisors. I checked every...
I have a 2:1 but my grades are very inconsistent (ranging from 42% to 90%) for a whole host of reasons. Does anyone know of any firms that don't request a breakdown of your degree modules because I feel like I'm wasting my time with any firm that looks at them?
I'm applying for the vacation schemes that I can and direct TCs. I'm also doing as many online sessions and virtual events and things as I can. Many of these are in the evenings so I'm getting some good firm exposure that way.
I don't have much advice but I feel your pain. I'm a teacher so I don't get to choose my holiday at all - no exceptions. So, I'm pretty limited on the vacation schemes I can apply for.
It took me about 12 hours to hear back after getting my report. I think that maybe it's not automatically generated and so might only be sent out during work hours - that's just a guess though.
Hi @Jessica Booker,
I've realised that, on one of my applications, the name of my secondary school is incorrect. It appears to be an autofill type issue because the school name is my surname with "school" on the end. From googling, both my school and this school are state comprehensive schools...
I'm so sorry to hear that. Stick at it! Believe me when I say I know how you feel. Was this on the app or on the online assessment? I think you can reapply for their spring vacation scheme if you were applying for their winter one now but that might have changed.
Thank you - this is really helpful. I've now had the email saying that I met the benchmark. I they ask for a weakness further on in the application, I think I'll choose "jumping to conclusions and assuming the worst".
My strengths are interpersonal skills and enjoying stimulating work - so I chose those to be my top choices. I don't think it's really possible to know what they want because you rank which is most like you but they'll all be good qualities or all bad qualities, if that makes sense.
I suppose but I just don't see how that would be possible with their style of questioning. It was pretty clear to me what the statements meant. Who knows! I'm just curious to see whether I should receive a rejection email if I've failed or whether they just leave me hanging. There's a slim...
Has anyone NOT passed the online test? Does silence mean I've failed given that everyone else has received an email saying they met the benchmark? Also, did anyone else's feedback report just get them completely wrong? Mine says I'm bad with people - which is literally my greatest strength...
So, it turns out HSF have a character limit on their answer boxes that they don't ever mention! So, despite being under the word count, two of my answers are WAY over their limit.
I applying to HSF but the form is cutting off the ends of my answers. My answers aren't over the word limit and are being cut off mid-word. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?
I'm no expert but I've previously said things about firms that were negative to me but not objectively negative. For example, that a firm didn't have much of a presence in Asia and due to my connections with Asia, I'd prefer a firm that did (the firm I was applying to did). So, whilst it was a...
