Hey everyone, I have an AC at King & Spalding next week and would really appreciate if anyone has advice please !

Anything would help!

Great news! I’ve pulled out an interview insight from 2021. Feel free to check the rest of the years for any more as well.

And K&S rejection… really running out of firms here and worked really hard on my K&S app + thought it was quite good so that’s a bummer

I know this one stings, especially since you put in so much effort and felt good about your application. But don’t let this shake your confidence - you’ve already proven your ability to secure top opportunities, and this is just one step in a much bigger journey.

Every rejection is tough, but it doesn’t define you or your future. You’ve come so far, and there are still firms out there that will see your value. Keep pushing forward, because your hard work will pay off. You’ve got this!

i havent done it yet. any tips on what to do to prep now that uve done it?
I'd say focus on their values. There's not much else to do. There was a good video once. It was top 10 trainee skills. Paul Gascoyne made it, IIRC. I don't know where it's gone.

This video could be helpful though.

I do think being consistent helps. Especially on those sliding answer questions.

This has been asked a million times I'm sure lol but does anyone have a list or can you direct me towards the list of firms that have a healthy direct TC intake? Preferably over 50%

    Thank you!

Does Withers' Cappfinity test include any video questions?
    it is:
    1) the same fairly standard questions they did last year in terms of the scenarios which are superficially firm-tailored ("we're representing a wealthy person in a divorce", "Mr X says he owns the castle we're selling") but ultimately not really, you still need to choose whether you want to choose 'crack on with the work' yourself or 'ask the partner for help', and the answers don't really vary across firms and you don't really need to read the materials (except perhaps to work out who the specific resources you could hit up for advice are)
    2) the slider thing whether you choose between 'explaining detail' or 'explaining concepts' from left to right
    3) some fairly easy maths stuff which are more focused on being able to read graphs/tables and the question than maths per se.
    4) some watson-glaser/logic questions that I've seen about five times before (couriers getting to work, shares of firm A, B, C and D, etc.)

    but no VI.

after you've done it you'll get a useless feedback report that gives you no idea how you've actually performed.

vac scheme has started at the firm i work at and got rejected from and it is PAINFUL seeing the students walk past ☹️
I hear you - seeing the vac schemers at the firm you got rejected from must be really tough, and it’s completely valid to feel that way. But this isn’t the end of the road.

Remember, you can always apply again next year, and there are so many firms out there that would be lucky to have you. One closed door doesn’t define your future. Every setback is just a setup for a comeback, and your journey isn’t over yet. Keep going, because your moment will come!
