Please could someone give me some advice. I've just started a new job, and the contract states I shouldn't have any dealings with other companies unless given written permission. Contract ends in May- Im worried about the Easter vacation schemes I've signed up to.

Do you think the firm I've applied to would be fine with me asking if I could swap for their Summer Vacation Scheme? Is this something that could be done?

Reluctant to ask for permission from my new job... Any advice on how to resolve this?

Hi everyone! I have an AC on Monday (scary), and I did a mock interview yesterday. Generally went quite well but was told my answers for why me, tell me about yourself, why do you want to work in London and why not careers like banking and consulting were quite weak. Would appreciate any advice people have on this!

As a first step, I would ask your spring scheme firms to see if they can move you to summer because you will be in a new job. See what they say and then if they say no, your could also see if they could offer you a direct TC process instead.

So I've actually just double checked and theres only one vacation scheme... Do you think it's professional to ask for a direct TC process instead? Im worried it will have an impact on my application

For those of you in full time employment in an office setting, how have you approached the fact that you're applying for vacation schemes to your employer? My contract states I need to get consent if I am to work with another company or firm, but in my application process I avoided mentioning Im applying as I was in desperate need of a job.

Do you think its best to just book the 2 weeks as a holiday?

what would you suggest if I have an offer for a vac scheme that expires soon, but I'm still waiting to hear back from an AC. I do suspect that I haven't gotten a place at the second vac scheme as I think lots of offers have gone out, would it just be safer to accept this first one while I can? Also should I ask if I could move the second one to summer now, or wait and see if I get a place first? thank you!
