Does anyone have any suggestions for questions to an interviewer specialising in tax law on investment funds and asset management side. Was thinking of the rise of private credit but am not sure that is a good question to ask.

Never mind, just heard back with good news :) Unless travers get back to me, I think that's me done for this cycle. Went from 0 schemes last year to 2 this year - hopefully I convert them both!!! Don't lose hope and keep pushing everyone!!

They sent me this email about a week ago:

"I hope you’re well and thank you for your email.

We are currently working on screening applications, and will get back to you with an outcome of your application as soon as we can.

If you have not heard back from us with a rejection email, your application is still under review.

    Thanks for your continued patience."
was this post app or interview?

How does everyone deal with rejection post AC? Especially when you thought you did relatively well on the day. Finding it so hard to be motivated that eventually I will get to where I want to be 😔
    Hey @FT_82,

I am so sorry for how you are feeling right now and it is a totally valid feeling to have. Sometimes it is really difficult to gauge how an interview went and our perceptions can often be extremely different from reality.

As much as it is not nice to receive a rejection, I always tried to focus on the positive aspect of the situation. First of all you were given a chance to practice your interview skills in an assessment centre. So many people are not as fortunate so being proud for having obtained and participated in one is already a big achievement.

I think it is important to use this experience to learn a lot about yourself, how you have to prepare better for another assessment centre you might have in the future and what strengths and weaknesses you have noticed about yourself: do you get nervous? are you comfortable with commercial questions? do you ask thought provoking questions at the end of an interview? These are some of the things you might want to reflect on after the assessment centre.

Additionally, asking for feedback is crucial as it will make you understand what you are doing wrong or if there is something you can work on. More often than not a rejection is not even dependent on you performing badly but just that the competition was fierce and decisions had to be made unfortunately.

I have written some tips on how to deal with rejection in this post I hope they are useful: https://www.thecorporatelawacademy....ons-discussion-thread-2023-4.8038/post-170058

    Good luck with your journey!
