I received the same email and sent my application 6 months ago tomorrow.

What's the strategy he used?

Just being more specific, linking it to the work of the firm and why you are interested in it and how your skills meet it
So before I would regurgitate what I found on the website etc...
Example: You are an international firm with 35 office's around the globe which really interests me
BECOMES: I have spent significant periods of time in 5 countries and speak 4 languages OR
I work for a retail store that has outlets on 5 continents. I have been seconded to the buying department who talked me through the need to understand the acquired taste of the different markets they serve OR
I work for a a flagship retail store in the capital. This gives me the opportunity to meet people from all over the world...

And then state how it links to the firm and any recent transactions and challenges the industry is facing... etc

I'm sure many people do this already. But I was not. I was simply re-writing their own material.

I personally think it is possible to make around 4-5 applications and get a TC. If you know what firms are willing to accept your grades, write good applications and learn to do well on the tests and interviews. It is possible.

Every time I give up and say that my cycle is over now, and I get through next stage with a firm.

Congratulations! How long ago did you hear and what dates are the interviews?

Does anyone have any suggestions for questions to an interviewer specialising in tax law on investment funds and asset management side. Was thinking of the rise of private credit but am not sure that is a good question to ask.

Never mind, just heard back with good news Unless travers get back to me, I think that's me done for this cycle. Went from 0 schemes last year to 2 this year - hopefully I convert them both!!! Don't lose hope and keep pushing everyone!!

Congratulations! How long ago did you hear and what dates are the interviews?

I heard literally 30 min ago. There are slots everyday till 12 of March. Each days has 6 or 8 slots.
So there are a lot.
