Just re read my freshfields personal statement that I have submitted and realised I mention they have six seats but upon reflection it seems they actually have eight. I took this information from multiple sources including chambers student but maybe that was an old post. Annoyed with myself as I really liked the rest of what I wrote. Do you guys think automatic PFO??

Reality is it will be anywhere between 4-6 seats really. There is just 8 seat rotations, but many trainees stay in the same practice area for two-three month rotations or do secondments for 6 months. It’s been like that for decades, but the 8-seats really mean you get 8 chances to change seats, not that you will do 8 seats.

Reflect on what gives you energy. What is it about interactions/responsibilities that you get a bit buzzy about compared to the things that drain your energy. Then try to apply that to how that will help you in a law firm as a trainee.

Not an issue if you do - it just won’t be read as your application form basically is a duplicate of it anyway and to keep the recruitment process consistent.

they’re not. It seems like the order they’re assessing is random and are inviting people in batches/individually as invites have been spread over the last 3 days

This might not be all that helpful (I was deferred from Winter so my situation is a little different seeing as my interview was in October), but grad rec said that they would let me know of the outcome in February

has anyone got an idea what are good types of questions to ask grad rec at a talk by a firm where you have applied and not heard yet? I want to engage grad recruitment in conversation later today as I want them to know I am really interested in the firm and its sectors and didn't just attend events to get material for my application, but I am not sure what sort of things to ask.

Their deadline hasn't passed but I submitted in November. I don't mean asking questions to chase them about my app - I don't want to do this at all - but it would be odd if I asked the standard qs one asks before applying when I submitted already and then mention I have submitted. any advice is appreciated!

Do people change their work experience explanations depending on the firm? I've just been copy pasting the descriptions for each of them but just saw a post about someone adapting it for a firm... Is this common practice?
