i know someone who got an offer at the Manchester office back in december!Has anyone heard back from DLA Piper for the Manchester office? I did my VI in October and still nothing, I know people in London have heard back but if haven’t seen anything about the regional offices? Thanks
Congrats! Is this for TC or SVS?slaughters interview!
Hey, I secured a vac scheme with the firm last summer with the following structure:I’m currently writing my first ever cover letter and it’s for Travers Smith - does anyone have any advice for structure and content to include please? Thank you!
Also, anyone else applying to Travers, did you treat the boxes about extra curriculars and positions of responsibility as additional questions and write them out in full?
Hi! Good advice because I didn’t email them and just got the TI this morningI would wait this week and if you do not hear anything by mid week next week, then email them. I was in your same situation last year with some firms and I just emailed them reiterating how I would love to do a vacation scheme at the firm but I have another offer and I am compelled to accept if I do not receive news in the week, and I always received a positive email after that. However, I used to do this after a final stage, here you do not know if you got the telephone interview or not so it is a difficult situation. I would suggest to wait, I am sure they will get back to you soon. I know candidates who did the telephone interview and still have not heard back so they are being quite slow.
Thank you so much, this is really helpful! Congrats on your vac scheme too!Hey, I secured a vac scheme with the firm last summer with the following structure:
- Why law? (break this up into 2 parts - why you were initially interested in law and then why you're interested in commercial law)
- Why TS? (have around two points for this - e.g., due to their international strategy and their specialist area in Dispute Resolution. If possible, try add in some rankings from Chambers and include a deal which you are genuinely interested in)
- Why me? (mention around two things you have achieved, what you learnt from them, and how it puts you in a stronger position to pursue a career at the firm)
For the additional questions, answer them like you would answer a normal application. It's your chance to "show off".
Good luck!
Hey I'm waiting on mine. When did you apply and is it post-test?Akin PFO. Genuinely heartbroken
Congrats! Can I ask when did you do your test?Any advice for Akin TI? would be super helpful!! Thanks
