Hey Guest, do you have a question for graduate recruitment? Gemma Baker from Willkie is live to answer your questions!
Same as any other AC tbh! Just be friendly, engaged and commercially aware! ☺️Nice one: any tips on converting the AC to the VS offer?
was this post VI or post app?Last years valentines day I got a vi invite from wc. This year they gave me a pfo.
They must love valentines day or sth 😂
what kind of questions were there in the VIBasically they asked situation based questions, numerical and verbal questions and video interview questions as far as I remember
Yes, you can follow up even if it’s just to get confirmation of the scheme dates.Hi @axelbeugre @Jessica Booker, if you know that you’ve been offered a place at a firm because they rang you but they haven’t sent the offer letter in over 2 weeks - should I send a follow-up email/ring them? I have received another offer since and there is a small chance that the placements could clash if I don’t get my preferred choice of dates.
Thank you so much!!
Not “blacklisted” but the firm is going to know that they aren’t your first choice, so isn’t necessarily going to go out of their way to accommodate you. If they allow you to reapply (consider that some firms don’t allow you to reapply in the same recruitment cycle), then they are just likely to treat you like any other candidate - there are no guarantees of any preferential treatment just because you were given an offer. Will you get blacklisted by a firm for turning down a VS citing a clash with another VS? @Jessica Booker
WBD won’t update anyone until the week of March 22nd! It’s in one of their emailsHey, guys did anyone receive any AC invite from any of these law firms since you did the VI or WG of these firms?

They are with HSF and Cleary and I am really struggling to choose because I really enjoyed both ACs and am really interested in the work they do. I guess the sensible thing to do is to accept HSF given their conversion rate but it feels horrible to turn down a firm I really like especially if it means they would never hire me in the future.Go with the firm you most want to work for. People will say you need to consider the chances of converting to a TC too, and that is something to consider in cases where it’s difficult for you to distinguish a preference between the two.
A vacation scheme is an open door to be considered carefully for a TC, and turning a firm down that you have a clear preference for is the easiest way of closing that door.
you can move laterally don't worry. they won't turn down a potentially excellent associate/partner because you rejected the firm for a vs several years agoThey are with HSF and Cleary and I am really struggling to choose because I really enjoyed both ACs and am really interested in the work they do. Ok thank you! Sorry one more q- Do you think it matters if I call or email?Yes, you can follow up even if it’s just to get confirmation of the scheme dates.
I don't think they'll forgo a whole recruitment year, surely?I have a feeling that the spring scheme won’t even go ahead due to the merger. They already got rid of the summer one.
Congratulations!!🥂Freshfields VS ! Crying. Over the moon. Love you TCLA , specially @Jessica Booker for overall guidance and @Jaysen for the successful mock interview !
I did the VI for Dentons on 24/01Is there anyone at all who’s heard from Dentons (for London) post-app?
Sent my application off on 22 December and had radio silence since then. Weird as the year before they were pretty responsive and haven’t seen anyone mention a VI/AC or anything on here this cycle.
When did you apply if you don’t mind me asking?I did the VI for Dentons on 24/01
