    Out of curiosity, does anyone know why Clifford Chance and Slaughter and May don't do vacation schemes? Like isn't it a bit presumptuous on their part to think people will want to work there for their TC without even spending a week in the firm first?
    Both CC and Slaughter and May do have programmes that essentially mirror vacation schemes. CC's SPARK is like a WVS, 1-week long in one team and you're potentially interviewed at the end for a TC. Slaughter & May's Summer Work Experience Scheme is just a SVS, but roughly 3 weeks long. Though these firms don't outrightly call them 'vacation schemes', they definitely mirror VCs in their format.

    are vacation scheme ACs normally held online?
    Hey @flower;

    I think it depends on the firms and the circumstances. Last year I have done all my assessment centres online, however certain firms were holding them in person. Despite this, if a firm is holding them in person and you are incapable of attending for a serious reason, I am sure they will be able to accommodate you in some capacity. In that case, contacting graduate recruitment is the best course of action.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi! To the extent you are able to share, are the questions all strengths-based as stated on the website? I did the VI last year and I was asked firm-specific questions too. I also had 1 minute to answer the question instead of 45 seconds!
    hey, so it seems that people are getting different questions! mix of competency/strength based ones and more firm specific

    No.
    It is the next stage after screening applications.
    When did you submit your application and when did you receive the WG test ? If you don't mind me asking.

    Hey! Thanks so much! I submitted on Oct 29 - for some reason I thought they only screened apps after you completed the WG; it just seems way too quick to give a reply.

    Does anyone have any advice on answering this question: If you were in government what one thing would you change to make it easier for UK businesses to succeed and why?
