My concern with ESG is that everyone is talking about this right now so it is something everyone knows about.

Also in regard to leveraged finance, I would like to know more about that sector as I don't know much about leverage finance.

Finally thank you very much both this is really helpful.
I'll send you a PM with some resources today.

I applied on the deadline but haven't received a rejection but also no call so assuming its a rejection from travers. Last year they sent rejections out super late so feel like it might be the same this year.
I don’t think they’ve sent everything out tbh? I was thinking the same last week when I saw people were getting calls, but here we are! It’s not a no till it’s a no!

Hi, is it okay if we don't mention Open Days in the work experience section and instead mention it as part of the answer to: "why do you want to train with us?". Mostly because I cannot think of much content on the experience apart from getting to know more about the firm. Thank you!

Hi everyone!

I have an interview coming up on Thursday and I am researching a deal the firm has worked on, it's a large M&A deal, and the firm has worked on the M&A and financing front, whilst a different firm worked on the antitrust front. In my answer, I wanted to talk about some of the recent developments in antitrust that could impact the deal but I'm afraid the interviewers will not see it as relevant, considering the firm is working on the merger and financing front. The firm does have a strong antitrust practice. Does anyone have any insight/advice?

Thanks!

I don't think this will be an issue just because they didn't work on this specific aspect. The M&S lawyers will have to be concerned about antitrust matters even if they are not the specialists who know the whys and wherefores. If the firm has a strong anti-trust practice, then their lawyers will be even more interested in it, even if they didn't work on it.
