@Jessica Booker I had an AC on the 9th February. They said it should take 1-1/2 weeks to hear back... It's now been 2 weeks... Should I contact them? Completely understand graduate recruitment will be very busy but expecting a PFO at this point...
I would wait until Wednesday next week and then follow up then if you haven’t heard anything.

yep. I have multiple offers and have carried on with everything. It is practice for end of TC interviews if anything, also like others said you do not know what might happen with your current offers, i.e you may not convert. I have also noticed a snowball effect. With my first interviews i was unsuccessful from all but after my first offer I have had an incredibly high success rate with interviews. I think because the pressure is off.
Yeah i havent had many other interviews, but youre right it is ultimately practice at the end of the day

It would depend on the weighting of the reference. For instance if it was your only legal work experience it might be looked upon more heavily than if it was one of many legal placements for which the others you got a good reference for.

Many past employers will only confirm job title, employment dates and to confirm that there were no disciplinary issues and won’t make any further comment than that.
Would it make sense to contact such employer and ask him for a document/email confirming our job title, employment dates and the fact that there were no disciplinary issues. Basically, I just want to avoid the background check company to interact with this employer who may not have my best interest in mind.

    Thanks.

It doesn’t work like that unfortunately. The firm will want to go directly to the employer.
