Does anyone know how Reed Smith use the test results? Do they combine them with your written application, or do they invite to VI just based off of the test?
Yep, I think @Asil Ahmad is right.
Also in terms of SJTs more generally, I read this in an article recently:
“Situational judgement… assessments measure suitability rather than ability, so applicants who don't get through to the next stage of the recruitment process have not failed; rather, they have succeeded in avoiding a job and employer that would not have been a good match.”
I think this is basically correct, but obviously not great news for anyone seeking to get through. Practise where you can, and think about the personality/values that the organisation will be looking for. Ultimately, part of the reason they are being used is because they can’t be trained for very much. Here are some resources to help for any future SJTs.
