Same absolutely bombed! like WTF, I helped a friend the day before the test and she passed it for a paralegal position..I am truly pissed at myself! Well onto the next firm, I wanted to cut the list of firms I am applying to because my wedding is in May and do not have a dress yet, but I guess I need to work my behind off!Literally same here, was doing so well in practice and absolutely bombed the Linklaters one 🤣 can never win with WG

Silver linings though, congrats on your wedding!! I did not know this previously. As long as you used either sincerely and faithfully, is likely to matter too much ?It’s not that if you know the firm’s name, it’s more whether you are naming an individual by their name - eg Miss Jessica Booker. Then it’s “yours sincerely” if it is Dear Graduate Recruitment or Dear Sir/Madam, then it’s “yours faithfully”.
Will depend on the firm and how much of a stickler they are for these types of details. I wouldn't see it as a one strike and your out type situation though.I did not know this previously. As long as you used either sincerely and faithfully, is likely to matter too much ?
If it is on Launchpad, it actually means 23.59 on 15 January.Hi all.
Apologies for the very basic question but I am quite confused. On Monday I received a VI invite for Weil. The email has stated, "to submit your answers before the 15 January 2022 (GMT+00:00)." Does this mean I need to submit my answer, at the latest by 11.59 pm on Saturday? Or does this mean that I need to be submitted by midnight on Friday? TCLA people or @Jessica Booker, do you have any insight on this?
I have another VI this week, so I am trying to fit my preparation around work. I am confused about the submission date for Weil especially as I am trying to prep for well for each VI.
Thanks Jessica, this is really helpfulIf it is on Launchpad, it actually means 23.59 on 15 January.
I am sorry about that experience that you had - you never know though, your answers may have been fine.well.... not sure that telephone interview with Skadden could have gone any worse if I'd been planning on bombing it
long pauses, topics I clearly knew nothing about, and then not thinking out loud at all - urgh!! and just zero response or indication from the interviewer either way, I would have been laughing if I were him 🤣
I think it's usually the end of the 7th day but would do it a bit early to be safe.Hey everyone, for Irwin Mitchell's VI they dont specify a specific time deadline on the email but do say "The deadline for completing this video interview is 7 calendar days from this email being sent" so confirming that it indeed means the time you received that email notification (e.g 3pm), then deadline would then be 3pm on the 7th day following?
I applied for the Spring VS one day before the deadline (2nd Dec), passed the online test but got my PFO 2 days before Christmas. I applied and got accepted to their Disputes Open Day in November 2021 and talked about what I learnt on the Open Day and how that drew me to the firm in my Spring VS app - I thought it was one of my strongest applications as well so not really sure why my application went straight to the 'no' pile before Christmas instead of at least getting to the 'maybe' pile and getting invited to AC. So if you haven't heard back for Spring VS yet I think there might still be a chance that you'll get through to AC (just saw someone post very recently about getting invited to a Spring AC) since they have already started sending out PFOs post-application stage for Spring, so no news may still be good newsDoes anybody know when HSF send out their PFO (for the initial written app stage).. haven't heard anything yet and applied for Spring?

For the situational strengths tests, I researched the key attributes of a trainee and what Mayer Brown looks for specifically, as the strengths tested are usually part of the firm's essential requirements. Also, I would say just think carefully about each scenario and be authentic about how you would actually react in each scenario, rather than trying to guess what’s expected.Hey everyone! I'd be grateful if anyone has any suggestions about Mayer Brown's Situational Strengths Test and a Verbal Reasoning Test. Thanks in advance to anyone who could help.
