Hey Guest, do you have a question for graduate recruitment? Gemma Baker from Willkie is live to answer your questions!
Last year I think they reviewed cv and cover letter and then you got told if you made it onto the scheme or not, there wasn’t anything else but you really need to stand out from the crowd! - however there vac scheme last year was virtual so I don’t know if the firm will do it in person this time roundI have submitted a vacation scheme application for HCR and it was only uploading a CV. has anyone got experience of their recruitment process? And what the next steps may be
Congratulations! Wonderful news @Zubin and entirely well deserved 👏 👏 👏So your advice worked, @Jessica Booker ! I'm officially a Future Trainee Solicitor at Baker McKenzie. Wahoo!
have you heard anything yet because I still haven't?Has anyone heard anything from Arnold & Porter?
Yes it was! I just asked. They didn’t even ask me where the other offer was from or interview me or anything. They met up internally and issued me the formal offer within a week!Wow - that was quick! I am assuming this relates to your post about being asked to be considered for a direct TC process from last week?
Ultimately that is amazing news and a massive congratulations to you!
Thank you so much!! I’m so so happy and honestly still in shock. This forum has done wonders for me!Congratulations! Wonderful news @Zubin and entirely well deserved 👏 👏 👏

Thank you. The email didn't provide any detail. It just mentioned that I have been invited to a virtual interview.Congratulations! Do you know what kind of interview it is? Partner interview, case study, competency etc.?
Calls get missed all the time. I wouldn’t worry about this. Things like this don’t get recorded. Even if they did you could check their data retention policy as to how long such data would be stored for - for many firms that is only 12 months anyway.I just did something really stupid. I overslept the post-AC-rejection feedback call for a law firm I really like. Owned up to it and apologised, but I’m just scared they will make a note of this now. But overall mainly disappointed in myself and embarrassed I wasted their time
Alright, I'll include a range of links below so that you can prepare widely. Also know that we have a mock interview service that you can check out here if you feel the need to give practicing a go.Thank you. The email didn't provide any detail. It just mentioned that I have been invited to a virtual interview.
