Hey @Jessica Booker if you felt you had connection issues that affected your performance during an AC - is this something you would flag to grad rec, or would that seem like you’re trying to make excuses? Thanks!

Hi @Chloeccmw,Any advice for Freshfields AC? My first ever and I’m so nervous!
Wow. I had no idea that the pass rate for SQE would be so low; I’d have guessed it would be more like 80%.Very interesting article View attachment 3796
Is this a normal statistic? do on average only 50% of people pass....and here I am thinking getting the TC is the hardest part 😭 😭 😭 Imagine getting a TC then getting it taken away because of a failed exam.Very interesting article View attachment 3796
The LPC doesn't have a much higher pass rate, the last couple of years its sat around the 58% mark - https://www.lawgazette.co.uk/news/lpc-pass-rates-unaffected-by-pandemic/5111066.articleIs this a normal statistic? do on average only 50% of people pass....and here I am thinking getting the TC is the hardest part 😭 😭 😭 Imagine getting a TC then getting it taken away because of a failed exam.
that is why the LPC I personally think was 10 times easier, but still this is only the first year and no one is used to it so most likely the figures will improveIs this a normal statistic? do on average only 50% of people pass....and here I am thinking getting the TC is the hardest part 😭 😭 😭 Imagine getting a TC then getting it taken away because of a failed exam.
Radio silence, have you heard back? The wait is killing me 😣Anyone still waiting to hear back from Bristows post VI??
Frankly? I do not know because these are the first results but my personal idea is that the SQE is plain BS and will create a more white privileged industry. I am not against white people..my family and future wife are white! Nope nothing. Only received the email on Monday that my VI was progressed to the Partners for review. But nothing since. Hbu?Radio silence, have you heard back? The wait is killing me 😣
I am confused- in the article u linked it says the following:The LPC doesn't have a much higher pass rate, the last couple of years its sat around the 58% mark - https://www.lawgazette.co.uk/news/lpc-pass-rates-unaffected-by-pandemic/5111066.article
I do not get it - why are white people getting more of an advantage in the SQE? It is an exam no...if you study more then you pass? (I am not white but I am just curious what this means)Frankly? I do not know because these are the first results but my personal idea is that the SQE is plain BS and will create a more white privileged industry. I am not against white people..my family and future wife are white! I feel you!
I definitely agree with this. I personally think the LPC is a better method of becoming qualified because they’re formal exams whereas if you study the SQE and you hate MCQs, then it’s really not gonna work in your favour and you’re gonna have to put in extra amount of work.that is why the LPC I personally think was 10 times easier, but still this is only the first year and no one is used to it so most likely the figures will improve
