Since bakers said mid April at the latest in their app confirmation email, doesn’t that mean today should be the last day we hear back from them? This coming week is w/c 22nd so not sure if they’ll have enough time to review SJT’s and VI’s before their AC’s mid May.
The ACs are dates that don't exist (there isn't a Thursday 18th May etc) so I'm trying not to give them too much weight. The email also said VIs would be in March - April which obviously didn't happen.

This is genuinely so jarring, I still haven't received a response from BM and im not sure whether to interpret it as a ghosting/rejection or an indication that they are still processing applications, it is just a bit weird considering they sent out some PFOs last week.
Did they send PFOs out last week too? I only saw tests but prior to that I'd only seen PFOs

I think thats the right approach tbh. Last year the timeline did not add up to what they described in the initial email post-app at all. Everything was like 3 weeks delayed.

For firms with rolling deadlines, how late is too late to apply? Would prefer to finish my exams first
the deadline is the deadline. Most firms read your app even if you applied a minute before the deadline. Rolling just means they progress apps within the open application window and dont wait until the end of the window to start reviewing.

I received my Mayer Brown assessment report and surprised I did quite bad (below average). I am really surprised because I almost always do well in these. Not to seem arrogant but I would expect average at a minimum based on my history of taking similar assessments. Mostly just disappointed now but on to the next one I guess.
They seem to go off CV anyway

Hi, I am new here. I am a mature candidate and a career changer. I am trying to navigate various industries such as Life Sciences because is more similar to my field. Could anyone suggest ways to increase my understanding of the role of life sciences lawyers? Do you know anyone active on LinkedIn?
You can also try for Trade Mark or Patent Attorney Training Contracts specifically provided by some firms!

Woops, guess I should get on that. How far through are they?
I don’t think very far so don’t worry! Plenty of time 😊 I only know as I spoke to a member of recruitment not long ago and know some people received PFOs post-test (believe they applied in late March and early April) Haven’t heard of anyone getting VIs yet so likely they are waiting for more applicants. Good luck!

I have recently received a job offer and have been given 5 days to respond. However, I have an assessment centre for a graduate scheme on Monday and I will know the outcome the week after. Essentially, I have one job offer and one potential offer if I do well in the AC. The latter pays far better but is of course not guaranteed. I really need a job as I will be moving to London and can't survive in the City without one! Any advice on what to do would be appreciated!
