Hello, has anyone received an email from A&O inviting them to take situational judgement test but have not yet received the link?
Hi I’m so sorry to hear this. Can I ask when you applied?Rejection last week for 2022, think it was in relation to my A-Level grades so a simple no
I applied on the 19th and passed the SJT on the 21stHi I’m so sorry to hear this. Can I ask when you applied?
I am still waiting for Kirkland and Sidley!Anyone heard from Hogan Lovells post-WG / White & Case / Sidley Austin / Kirkland?
No dice after my AC. I guess it's another round of applications for me.
Just turned 25, 2 years out of university - I really thought this round was my round. I finally had all my ducks in a row - I'd done a great vac scheme the year before, I'd got a great paralegal job at a great firm. Now I've lost my job due to Covid, had to move back home (EU) as a result and facing another round of applications.
I know I'm still young, but somehow today, after getting the news, I feel older than ever.
Really felt like I'd done a good job on the AC too. I guess it wasn't meant to be.
Hi Olivia,I just got a rejection for their first open day, hope it’s because I’m a grade below their A-Level requirement and not from what I wrote
Yes my email said about the specialised open days too so I would guess it was generic :/Hi Olivia,
Sorry for responding to this but I was also unsuccessful for their first open day! I'm just trying to work out if the email I received was a generic rejection email as mine said that I am encouraged to apply to their other Specialised Open Days - I was wondering if you got the same email?
Could someone please kindly link me to the thread with the list of firms that do and don't use psychometric testing please. I've been trying to find it but to no avail or if someone could please guide me on the best way to find threads that would also be fab! Thank you in advance.
has anyone heard back from Skadden? I applied at the end of July and have had radio silence since then
just a note on this, I applied to Skadden also but earlier in the year I asked their graduate recruitment manager if they do actually consider direct TC apps regardless of them accepting the apps. And the answer was that they don’t look at them unless they don’t fill the places (11/12 places) from their vac scheme. Which they confirmed that they put emphasis on. So I don’t even think they look at them just in case there is a good one, but literally only if they don’t fill the places.
This is very useful, thanks. I think we'll start compiling a list of firms and their position on direct training contract applications. It might lead to candidates reconsidering whether it's worth applying.
