Sorry I mean backwards as in from submission deadline and working back to the earliest apps as the invites seem to be going in that order if that makes sense? Why do you say so? I've heard some people getting offers and they applied in early Dec!

When did you get WG invite? Well done.
the WG is not automatic as I've been rejected before due to my application before receiving WG invite. Was the WG automatic?
Thanks I applied way back in October but I know a few people who got rejected applied much later.I'm so sorry about the rejection! May I ask when you applied?
I think it was around the 14 November!Congrats! May I ask when you did the VI?
Thanks! I done my WG back in early December! When did you get WG invite? Well done.
It's much more likely they're dividing it up by spring/summer applications. Plus, I don't think it's ever worth guessing as it could quite simply be random or one of their assessors has got through their candidates much faster than the others!Sorry I mean backwards as in from submission deadline and working back to the earliest apps as the invites seem to be going in that order if that makes sense?
I don’t think so, they told me congratulations for reaching the stage so I assume notWas the WG automatic?
04/01! gosh it’s been ages for you I wonder what’s going on. I know they did a couple of interviews surely they can’t be full already?
Has anyone yet to receive a WG invite from Freshfields?
I think it's impossible to tell with Links. They endeavour to let everyone know ASAP after the Vacation Scheme. I got my Winter VS offer 2 days after the AC though, so best of luck!Had an AC with Linklaters yesterday and got an email today asking to schedule a call about the outcome. Is it good or bad that they've made the decision so quickly?!
Does anyone have advice on answering the "In which areas of law do you want to practice & why?" question? I'm writing about my interest in energy law because my home community is heavily reliant upon the oil and gas industry and I'm eager to be involved in an industry which is currently evolving to become more sustainable. I'm a non-law student, so other than my personal experiences I'm finding it hard to contextualise. Is this an ok way to frame my answer?

Hopefully they are just going through them in order then as I also only applied a day or two before the deadline! Fingers crossed for youYeah, I am still waiting too (applied on the deadline for the Summer Scheme). I hope I am not waiting for so long only to be rejected .
Amazing thank you so much for this!!
