Hiya
As many as you think are relevant. Often, the main focus of the question is on your reasons why and how (if at all) they relate to the interests and reasons you have suggested led you to apply to your interviewing firm.
Hope this helps ☺️
Hiya!
I don't think there is a perfect answer that firm's who ask this question are looking for. The focus of this question is on you.
What are your biggest strengths/ best traits?
When have you been able to successfully rely on this strength/trait and how has it helped you overcome obstacles...
I don't think it looks bad at all. The focus here is to test your understanding of the firm and to assess your motivations. Understandably, if you have spoken heavily about wanting a global transactional focused career, yet mention firms which are domestic and focus on heavily on litigation...
Congratulations on getting your ac!
I wouldn't worry too much about dates and times, its far from a first come first serve process.
Best thing you can do now is focus on your prep & go into your ac knowing you are a confident & deserving candidate!
Best of luck ☺️
Hiya
I don't see anything wrong with this at all! If anything it emphasises you motivation for a career in commercial law as well as emphasises your interest in the firm ☺️
Hiya,
I'm probably not best placed to answer as I don't have much experience with either so perhaps the others will be able to offer some insight.
Have you tried asking to be moved onto another programme perhaps? If that's not possible, my advice here would definitely be to pick the firm you...
Hiya,
It is definitely possible to get a vacation scheme in your third year and even after graduation. It may vary from firm to firm, but generally speaking I know many people who did vacation schemes and secured tcs in their final year and beyond, so I wouldn't worry too much on that element -...
Hi Dwight!
I agree very much with Jessica and Jacob. I don't think they give you a better chance per se. I wasn't super active within university societies/committees but I did have quite a number of roles outside of uni and was very involved in a few networks. So I really don't think its a...
Hiya,
Congrats on your interview!
I'm not the most familiar with Bristows, but from my personal experience problem based scenarios are usually similar to situational judgement type questions. So questions to gauge your responses to day to day issues that may arise in relation to clients or...
Hiya
So sorry to hear!
You are right better news will come. Sometimes as annoying as it is we do get knocked quite a bit before our successes but remember, everyone is running their own race at their own time. Make sure to take care of yourself and give yourself a bit of mental break in the...
Hiya,
It's very unlikely you'll just get a random very specific commercial question, rather its usually something like tell me about a story or deal you have been following. I think the issue is more likely to arise after this question as sometimes you may get a follow up question that you...
Hiya!
Congrats on your AC ☺️
I agree very much with Jacob. I think your general preparations would be very similar to a commercial interview in terms of prepping for commercial awareness, motivations and competency questions. However as Withers has a predominately private client base extra...
Hiya,
It depends. I think if the question is as you phrased it, I probably wouldn't be as inclined to relate it back to my own personal experiences. Rather I would explain how such qualities help and benefit solicitors in their every day tasks and thus how this leads to them being successful...
Hiya,
It's a horrible waiting game that sometimes seems never ending so I completely understand how you feel. I think the best thing to do (as hard as it sounds trust me I know 😅 ) is to try to take your mind of things.
Comparison can be a real killer but remember the wait is not over...
Hiya,
I think you could also approach it from an internal specialist point of view, as some offices are known for having bigger practice areas than others. So I think this could be an interesting point to tie in if that is an area of interest.
Hope this helps!
Hiya,
I think firstly it depends on the way the question is structured- sometimes its; tell me a story you have been following in the news as opposed to, tell me about a deal you have been following. They are very similar but I think when the word deal is used, it restricts your options a bit...
