Usually phone calls are only for good news, I think it would be pretty cruel of them to call you to tell you they don't want you lol. But whether it's a phone call or email, that's dependent on the firm.
They only gave you one day to do the VI? Surely that's a glitch, everyone else had 5 days... I'd email and check.

Restrictions aren't as tight in the UAE at the moment, so I would assume they are expecting in-person hopefully. But you should email them to get a definite answer.
Keep an eye on time, maybe set an alarm for 10-15m bursts so you know when to move on.
Have a clear structure, with headings, simple language, don't write everything in a huge paragraph because that's annoying af to read.

I'd say demonstrate skills such as emotional intelligence, being able to adapt your communication style, your ability to keep that information confidential, your caution (being precise). Any example from extra-curriculars/work etc. will be fine, as usual.
Practice your answers in 1m30s - that will prepare you.
Research the firm's unique points e.g. international strategy, top practice areas, overseas seat etc.
Treat it as you're speaking to a person - pace your speaking and maintain eye contact with camera.
