AOD, a much better answer than my long screed above which found much the same. So assuming people get confirmation they can take anything hard copy to their online (or in person) exam the only other question is what are you allowed to mark or write on the BPP provided materials.
123, hopefully someone will come along to answer but I think it just depends on the person. My twins are living at home this year. some LPC students are older and already renting but I am sure others every year will be looking to rent with someone on the course.
h1, good point.
I am just...
One of my sons has bought 2 lever arch folders for each of the topics (he is treating litigation, civil and criminal as 2) ( so 4 x 2 = 8) and put the physical materials BPP delivered into four of the folders, leaving the other 4 for SGS materials etc - eg I saw him printing the first SGS...
That might just apply to those doing the LPC online. I think last year on the PDGL at first for the first few days my sons had to log in a guest for adobe connect links/talks but that then meant [ cannot remember what - worse access or not saved or something - I just cannot remember now] and...
R203, yes, that is exactly right. For their face to face course they were able to choose having the physical SGSs on two days a week during the week. That means they just have the travel from our house to BPP twice a week and it halves the cost of that travel - London Underground is quite...
When you arrive they probably have a list of rooms and they can find it for you as I think you know your Group number or can check it against Student registration number on the pdf of groups on the Hub. If your time table is also on the VLE - google search BPP VLE - it may still be on there...
1. h1, b thanks . Under "assessment dates" in son's case we are being shown "fast track" course dates as of this morning. We also just have fast track course exam dates under "Key Dates" still which again is wrong.
We do have the "study planner" for the LPC full time which gives exam dates for...
Ah, now they are getting muddled - my sons were moved to their preferrrd group by last Friday. Tonight they have had an email saying one is being movedout of that and into his brother's original 4 day a week group - so a second move supposedly at his request. The right hand seems not to...
My son had a similar issue - Teams associated with his last work account - but got it working for the start so it was all okay. Best of luck to everyone on the LPC. A few issues or things that might be useful to remember from the welcome talk this morning:-
1. The assessment (exams) time table...
Sorry, I don't. My son has his correct group's timetable in the VLE Calendar and a different group's timetable (the one in which he originally was placed) in the offiec365 calendar. Hopefully as last week and this must be the busiest of all year for BPP after next week it will be easier to call...
No, only that it was being posted by end of August. I expect it will arrive in the next week or two. It will mostly be the Companies Act 2006 which is free on a google search anyway so it is probably not a big problem if it arrives a bit late.
On The Hub under My Learning then / Full time induction I can see today a link to a pdf of the lists of all the groups with the student registration number SRN and the group number. On that list for my twins under the LPC FT (full time) Holborn link they are now in the same group as each other...
I just meant the property item which is not the punched notes. It is called "Property Law and Practice Handbook" with a blue cover. He received two sets of the punched notes instead.
My son was on hold on the phone to BPP for 33 mins first thing today so hung up and put in a second query form (again about which group my sons are in as had had no response to the first), given VLE and Hub timetables give different groups. (He has also now had a "starting work on your case"...
It is a bit complicated in our case as they have dates for 2 groups on the outlook calendar and then dates for one 2 day a week group which are a different group when logging in on https://my.bpp.com/vle/. We are hoping the vle is correct in their case as the timetable there is their preference...
That is very useful thank you (this thread is very helpful indeed by the way) eg for my twins London LPC full time Sept (not LPC LLM which h as a slightly earlier Intro session 9.30am) it seems to be online. the one first week session in person for two which is later in the week has "Holborn"...
h1, You might well be right - it is just my sons were in different groups over 4 days when the timetables were issued last Friday night, so one put in a request via BPP to have that changed for them both (as they had said on the survey they wanted 2 days a week and to be in the same group for...
My son has welcome lecture and support services lecture on Monday 6th Sept ( so two ) and then in person in Holborn first Welcome for his particular group - it gives the group number.
Separate issue my two on the VLE timetable have been moved to the same group as each other which is also...
(i) We can also see Business law now on the Hub (and the pre-reading within it).
(ii) On the electives we saw something on the Hub saying you do not choose them yet - see below. That is also my recollection from when my daughters did the LPC with BPP. You are supposed to read Programme...
