Apart from passing A & O's Situational Judgement Test, have heard nothing else but then again I'm applying for summer vac schemes so not a total surprise...
I would explain to the Graduate Recruitment exactly what you just told us here. I am sure they would let you sit an AC now and then do a vac scheme in the spring or summer.
If you are talking about the personal statement, I didn't address mine to anyone as I felt it would be a waste of words and since it isn't a cover letter per se. In my opinion as long as your word count is within 100 of 850 you are fine. They have set that word limit for a reason so I'd imagine...
Would it be worth asking the firm? I can't edit the answer per se but I can mention where the errors are and correct them in the supplementary information if that helps...
Hi guys,
Is it worth trying to amend an application if you notice any grammatical errors after you have submitted it?
For instance, with an 'apply4law' application should I amend the errors in the supplementary information section?

Daniel
Yeah I just had a reply from Kirkland and they said that 'the date a candidate submits their application will not make any difference' so I think we can assume that they are effectively non-rolling.

Hi Jaysen,
I completely agree with what you said, but unfortunately the cover letter for Kirkland states that you should include the following in 400 words:
Why you want to be a lawyer
What skills you can bring to the role
Why you are applying to Kirkland & Ellis International LLP...
Hi Christy, I can't speak for White & Case, but I did the First Year Insight Scheme at Macfarlanes in March this year and my cover letter basically said 'why law' and then briefly 'why Macfarlanes'. Hope this helps!
Thanks a lot Nicole! I agree probably stating that you want to be a partner is a common answer but I think it is hard to know what else the career goal is at this stage without actually beginning the career! As you have said, would a perhaps better response be to say something like, 'I would...
Yeah, it is very long but I guess that's because they don't have any online tests or video interviews. I think I'd prefer a much more detailed application form and then an assessment centre, to be honest as I struggle with the online tests and video interviews!
