They might remember you but I would focus on the fact that you have been invited to an assessment centre again, which is a testament to the fact that the firm likes you!
Congratulations on obtaining a vacation scheme, it is such a big achievement since this year the competition was very intense so you should be very proud of yourself. I am sure you will be able to convert it!
Alternatively, if you do not convert, I think that these two options are great. If...
I personally do not think so. Of course, we do not know the question, the context and the details of it but generally speaking no. I think law firms take an overall approach to evaluating a candidate and one bad answer will not affect you.
I would email them directly to have the correct answer to this question. As an international student myself, this is a serious concern that you will be able to have a proper answer to if you contact the firm directly, as they will be able to give you the most up to date answer.
There is no difference from my perspective, they both have strengths and many weaknesses unfortunately. I would choose based on the firms you are interested in. BPP is where majority of the law firms send their candidates to so If i was applying to one of the two I would ultimately choose BPP.
First of all congratulations for getting the interview, this is a huge achievement in itself!
I shared some tips in this post which might be really helpful: https://www.thecorporatelawacademy.com/forum/threads/tcla-vacation-scheme-applications-discussion-thread-2023-24.8037/post-167210

Law firms do appreciate people with experience in a corporate setting, so your experience in a bank will be very much appreciated. I think that you can start applying to direct training contracts and if something does not come your way, then I would prepare for vacation schemes applications...
If you cannot find this information on the website of the firm, I would suggest to email graduate recruitment and ask this question directly. As an international student myself, I think it is really important to get the most accurate information from the law firm itself.
You can still talk about them perhaps emphasising a different angle to these experiences or focusing on specific events or things you have done to describe your interests. I think that in this answer you should focus more on your personal interests in these positions/organisations...
There is no harm in asking and I am sure you will not decrease your chances of converting. I do understand these concerns as those were the same concerns I had when I got my first vacation scheme offers, I thought that if I was asking something important to graduate recruitment, that would have...
This is not a stupid question in the slightest so do not apologise!
I would say Corporate, M&A, Finance, Antitrust, Real Estate (in some instances). I think that these are some of the things I would consider.
Alongside what @Jessica Booker has highlighted, it is important to note that there are less spots for direct training contracts. Some firms only recruit 1 or 2 people from the direct training contract route, which makes the process very hard.
Moreover, some firms only recruit from the vacation...
Unfortunately this is hard to tell but realistically speaking no. I have friends who applied to firms that they interviewed with the year before and still got rejected after application stage and did not receive an interview.
I think it depends on the strength of your application and how the...
