In W&S's case, they can't even confirm an application receipt 😅What’s going on with all these firms ghosting applicants? It’s low-key insensitive in my opinion. I haven’t dealt with it myself (yet) but I can imagine how demotivating and demoralising it can be for people that are getting ghosted (for no reason). 🥲
These firms all ask for communication skills but can’t communicate a simple application outcome, which is almost always a generic automated email anyway. Apologies for my small rant lmao. 😂

I'm not sure how it would work for small firms but in my experience (previous application cycle) I don't see anything wrong with that. I did it for a large American firm and it was clear trainees knew how much information they were allowed to divulge to keep the process fair.I have an interview with a small firm. Is it okay to reach out to a trainee and ask about the firm over a phone call or would it be used as trying to get an unfair advantage?
