Anyone heard from Weil post-VI? (I totally fked mine up haha)
How confident are you in your knowledge of the core LLB/PGDL subjects, including Contract, Tort, Trusts, Land, Criminal, and Public Law?
TCLA is teaming up with BPP for a free interactive event designed to refresh your fundamentals, especially for those interested in or planning to take the SQE. We'll practise multiple choice SQE questions, with prizes for the highest scoring participants!
Register HereI have a VS offer. Did my AC two weeks ago, I think they had 5 other ACs after mineAnyone heard from RPC after Watson Glaser for Summer Vacation Scheme ?
Hey @AS24 I definitely am, their scarcity here has really taught me their value 🥲. On this brighter note, I will split up my thoughts between how to organize your time and then your ideas.Dear @Amma Usman,@Andrei Radu and @Ram Sabaratnam,
I hope you guys are well and enjoying this sunny day.
I am trying to prepare for an upcoming written exercise, which is my weakness during AC.
I would like to ask if you could advise me on how to structure my thoughts in an organised manner without allowing my anxiety to take over.
How do you think I should organise my time when tackling the case?
Thank you in advance for your help.
From what I have seen on the forum they seem to have said they would get back to you guys by the end of last week and still haven’t been able to do so. 😭did SPB specifically say they'd get back to people this week?
Huge congrats 🥳Weil AC 😇
Well done!Weil AC 😇
When is the AC and did you apply spring or summer?Weil AC 😇
I second this. I remember listening to one of Willkie’s current trainees at their in-person open evening and he spoke about how he felt he had messed up so bad on the WE. It turned out he did well because his structure and written clarity was very good. 🙂🙂that Willkie WE was... interesting. But just want to remind people that it isn't just the substance of your submission that is assessed. It's also testing how well you communicate! Having spoken to VS candidates last year, they've ALL stressed that point. So all is not lost guys, praying for the best💯
technical, competency, motivational and mad commercial awarenessanyone who s done w&c AC, is the interview technical at all? or just motivational/competency
yeah i feel the same as youFound the Willkie WE very hard, especially as a non-law grad.
Feel like I probably missed a lot of content.
Hoping that the vast majority of people progress to an interview!
I want to know this too. I’m not sure if I should wait until the next cycle to really understand the firm because I know that some firms won’t look at candidates who were already rejected from them
As long as you have some legal work experience and the firm is one that recruits a non-negligible part of its trainee cohort from the direct TC route, I would say yes. Two of my friends got TCs via the direct route in their penultimate year, and they were among the few who were applying for anything but vacation schemes. One of them had no prior VS or paralegal work experience and had only done an internship in a foreign country. As such, I cannot believe the success odds of a penultimate year application to be so low so as not to merit an application. Is it worth it to apply for Direct Training Contracts as a penultimate year student? How successful would we be compared to graduates or finalists?
