Watson's Daily is generally very good. Also podcasts from the firm, ideally. FT daily briefing gets recommended often.
The Rest is Money and Politics are both great. If you get past the political leanings and the “contentious” personalities, you get a broad, sufficiently detailed, and easy to understand comprehension of what goes on within and between business/politics. It focuses massively on context, which improves understanding.

I would say FT news is great, but only for updates. It’s like watching one of the BBC 30min news slots throughout the day. It will only tell you the key points.

Hi everyone, hope all are having a nice evening (even if things seem bleak, they will get better!)

I just wanted to point one thing out, it is not a massive issue (getting TCs is much more important obv). I sometimes have noticed people referring to other people with male pronouns and it is absolutely okay to do this if you know the person or have had interaction with them to know that. I think it's not wrong to say that a lot of us also don't use male pronouns (by virtue of being female, non-binary, queer, etc), so just a humble request please keep this in mind and don't assume every person is a man.

This profession used to be very heavily male dominated and women weren't allowed so I guess it makes me feel some kind of way haha

Thanks!

It will be 12 SJT questions, 5 numerical reasoning and 5 verbal reasoning questions.

Paul mentioned this on the Paul, Weiss thread on TCLA a few weeks ago! 🙂

Best of luck for Paul, Weiss!
Does anyone know what the numerical reasoning and verbal reasoning questions typically look like? I'm just curious about the format and type of questions. Also, are there any good resources to practice these kinds of questions?

Did the PW test - was pretty hard in some parts. Feedback report gives you full outline of how you did on every area (on a bar chart). Email also outlines next stage is a virtual assessment centre.

I attended the October Open Day it was such a lie - we were promised no SJT and next stage would be in person interview ahah
They probably changed their mind about the approach to the recruitment process once all applications came in. 🥲

They might have added a virtual AC between the online test stage and in person interview (due to getting more applications than they initially expected). 🥲

Can I ask if the test was timed and whether there were any pre-recorded VI questions? 🙂
