The Rest is Money and Politics are both great. If you get past the political leanings and the “contentious” personalities, you get a broad, sufficiently detailed, and easy to understand comprehension of what goes on within and between business/politics. It focuses massively on context, which improves understanding.Watson's Daily is generally very good. Also podcasts from the firm, ideally. FT daily briefing gets recommended often.
I would say FT news is great, but only for updates. It’s like watching one of the BBC 30min news slots throughout the day. It will only tell you the key points.
