Are the inital tests for Mayer Brown (VRT AND SJT) automatic? I applied over a month ago and have been sent nothing. This is for direct TC. Would anyone suggets emailing GR team?
How confident are you in your knowledge of the core LLB/PGDL subjects, including Contract, Tort, Trusts, Land, Criminal, and Public Law?
TCLA is teaming up with BPP for a free interactive event designed to refresh your fundamentals, especially for those interested in or planning to take the SQE. We'll practise multiple choice SQE questions, with prizes for the highest scoring participants!
Register HereI am on the same boat. From what I gathered the tests are automatic, but they sent them out manually and they still havent finished recruiting for their summer vac scheme, hence the delay in sending them out.Are the inital tests for Mayer Brown (VRT AND SJT) automatic? There is no need to include something else - but I would keep your degree in, but just don’t add the module grades if you are providing them elsewhere. If an app asks for a CV, and then additionally for grades, shall I take these out of my CV and include something else instead?
What do you mean by legal project here?Or you could just apply for any grad job but do some pro bono volunteering at a legal clinic or do your own legal project on the side.

I was basically using it as an umbrella term to mean any sort of initiative to demonstrate your commitment to the field. Like any moot or debate competitions, legal essay competitions, any sort of legal reports, research, writing that you undertook in your spare time etc. Or you could start a social media page relating to law (even if it’s faceless content). These are just a couple examples I thought of from the top of my head but there are many many more of course. What do you mean by legal project here?
Probably yes, their email confirmations are automatic after submission. Their applications were rolling, so its possible they had already filled their quota for applicants to enter the next round.submitted my baker app last night and haven't got a confirmation email from the firm itself (only the one from CVmail). should i be concerned?
I don't think they've moved anyone on? I think they only reject people on a rolling basis, might be wrong thoughProbably yes, their email confirmations are automatic after submission. The emails are always automatic. I sent my app last yr on the deadline and got 2 automatic ones, both from Cvmail. The 2nd one just has the AC provisional dates in it. And still got to the AC.Probably yes, their email confirmations are automatic after submission. I just checked my emails and I got two confirmation emails but the second one that looked like it was from Bakers is actually from a cvmail address, what did other people receive?
I've only got one from CVmail, do you think I should email to ask just to make sure they got my app?The emails are always automatic. I sent my app last yr on the deadline and got 2 automatic ones, both from Cvmail. The 2nd one just has the AC provisional dates in it. And still got to the AC.
I got the same identical email this year as last year, only this time it was just the first one from cvmail.
“Rolling basis” doesnt mean they chuck out your app without reading it after a certain point. They just review them as they come in, as opposed to doing all after the deadline.
