DLA Piper VI invite came Thursday. It says deadline is 5 working days. Is the deadline today or tomorrow?

I hate the way they word these deadlines without further explanations! I would understand that as being due Thursday night at the latest (counting 5 working days from the day you got the invite). But also, if you're close to the deadline without completing it, DLA send a follow up email saying you have 2 working days, so the deadline shouldn't pass without you knowing it.

Does anybody know when HL intend to send PFOs/conclude inviting to AC for WVS? I have an offer for shadowing experience at the same time as the WVS, but don't want to say yes to it yet if there's still a chance I can do the HL WVS . I saw an AC invite here from Friday - has anybody else been invited recently (i.e. within the last week)? Should I assume PFO atp?

Sorry if this is obvious but does this mean they consider apps on a non-rolling basis? The firm is TLT.

I think they mean it's non-rolling, but it is an extremely odd way of phrasing it.

Im in the same position. But ive also seen the turnaround from AC literally being accepted the day after. So even though the scheme starts on the 4th of December, until you get the PFO its still in the cards.

I'm currently in the process of writing Skadden's application and the question I'm focusing on is: "Why are you applying for a training contract at Skadden and why do you believe you are suited to the firm?"

Generally, I know that it's best to have three points in a "why the firm" answer, but I was wondering if it was a bad idea to only go with 2 points in further detail? I'm focusing on the international nature of the firm and their focus on pro bono, and then am tying both of these into why I believe I'm well suited to the firm.

Would it be better to try and make these points more concise and get a third in or is sticking with only two fine?

I know someone who got onto a BCLP open day (scheduled for Feb 2023), found out she couldn’t attend, emailed the firm (in good time) and they saved her a place on the next open day which is taking place next month. It’s worth a shot!

For the Goodwin VS application it asks you to add information about which other firms you are applying to. Is there a best way of doing this? Is it tactical? Should I mention that I have already secured a vac scheme with a magic circle firm? @axelbeugre @Jessica Booker please could you share some insight? Thank you!

@Jessica Booker Hi Jessica! About the education history part, if I did not take the GCSE and I took the other education system and exam for my secondary education, how should I describe it on application form ? I mean I'm not sure the firm familiar with that exam
