sorry do they ask you to state every subject and grade that you received for GCSEs? Mine only allows me to select what qualification I took and doesn't allow me to enter any other information for 14-16 exams, only for 16-18 exams am I able to add specific subjects and grades

I wasn't able to enter my GCSE results, only my A Levels.

Hey guys,

I have just completed the application questionnaire for Links and I have received an email stating that I have 5 days to complete the WG after submitting my application. Does 'application' simply refer to the application questionnaire? I was under the impression that I would have 5 days to complete the WG after I had finished the eligibility questionnaire and review?
This sounds different to last year but as with any deadlines, I would treat it as 5 days from receiving the email to be on the safe side.

Sorry i should have been more clear to avoid the confusion. I'm from the States so under "other", I had the opportunity to list my SAT and AP scores.

Certainly last year, I did the WG for Links fairly slowly, but was invited to an AC so I don’t think time is weighted particularly heavily by them for the WG, compared to some other firms.

Also, 15th September was the deadline for people on the third and final Linklaters vacation scheme to decide if they want to take up a training contract offer or not, so I’d imagine direct TC offers will go out fairly soon. Linklaters are still working out their intake cohorts for training contract holders at the moment anyway.

I did the Capps test over two days, so I highly doubt it’s timed! I also took forever for the WG, so unless something has changed from last cycle, then it doesn’t matter how long it takes you

I took hours to do both the CAPP and the WG last cycle too as I kept taking breaks. I was a little paranoid that they would wonder why I am so slow, but I was still invited to AC.

I attended the Legal Cheek event with Linklaters last week and am a bit confused about a statement one grad recruiter made re the eligibility for the winter vacation scheme. She said that 'only students that are studying/have studied at a UK university are allowed to apply to Linklaters' vacation schemes'. However, the job spec on their website states that 'any penultimate, final year, graduates and postgraduates' can apply without mentioning anything related to the university you must have studied at. Can anyone give me any guidance on Linklaters' eligibility criteria? :) I contacted grad rec but haven't heard back.

That comment will be for international applicants - it will be where they won't be willing to get a visa for you for a short vacation scheme. The cost of getting the visa will be about 8-10x what they are paying you.

Thanks for your response, Jessica! I am an EU student and have the pre-settled status under the EU settlement scheme (I have the right to work in the UK). I am also currently working as a paralegal at an MC firm in London. So I should be eligible to apply then.
