Yeh getting the rejection 15 hours before the first GDL exam is a real kick in the teeth haha, but no news is probably good news!!! Hope it goes well for you :)
I applied on the 13th December and did the WG on the 24th. My application now says last updated 11th January (yesterday), so honestly no idea! I know they've handed out some rejections though so no news is good news at this stage I would say :)
No, I know a few people got rejections late last night however. It probably means our applications have been looked at, when did you apply and complete WG? I applied 13 Dec and did WG 24 Dec
@Jessica Booker, for a question asking 'what current issues do you think have an impact on the legal profession?', am I okay to talk about how an issue might impact specific sectors at a firm, or do you think they are looking for something more general (i.e. the whole legal profession)? Thanks...
I think you want to include how you would potentially approach the situation, but then also show how you've utilised their core values in a past experience of challenging a colleague.
It took about 2 weeks for me from the time I did the SJT to being sent the research questions. I'm not sure how they judge your SJT, but if it helps, I passed to the next stage and my 3 strengths were Attention to Detail, Collaboration and Social Adaptability too.:)
Hi Victoria, I was sent my question on Monday too and I'm taking that to mean Saturday (at the exact time they were sent on Monday). I'm also not sure about whether to place the word count on the page either?
I found this useful:

I think you want to try and sell yourself first and foremost, however link these key skills you can show into why that would suit SPB particularly. You want to be able to show...
I believe that following the application form, it's a phone/video interview, then Assessment Centre (which consists of interviews, group and individual exercises and tests).
I completed my SST on the 20th December, received the next round of questions on the 4th January :) So about 2 weeks, but of course it was the middle of Xmas around this time too, so I imagine it will be less time for you.
I've just logged onto the portal, and it's the same for me! No education history or answer to the commercial question. I imagine it'll be the same for everyone so I wouldn't worry :)
