I don’t even blame them either. Trainees are going to very busy people and helping a stranger try and advance on an application is a lot of effort unless you’ve already got a connection or built some rapport with them.
I stumbled upon this on TikTok and wondered if this post was actually accurate as it strikes me as somewhat forced/inane?
I’m not disputing that 1, 3, and 5 are good points, I just think 2 and 4 are weird. How will connecting with graduate recruitment on LinkedIn help you at all? They’re not...
Someone please correct me if I'm being stupid, but is a full service law firm just a firm that has the main City practice areas (i.e. one that has a corporate, banking, employment, tax, real estate etc), rather than a specialist or niche firm (i.e. one that only specialises in family or criminal)?
I had a friend who applied to W&C last cycle and they took over a month post-AC. I think they’ve still got a lot of summer ones to get through and they seem to drag through until April with ACs so imagine it could be a while!
My cycle now rests on NRF, who appear to have handed out all TIs? 😭😭
Is there anyone who still hasn’t heard anything from them to help put me out of my misery?
Still trying to get over my mortifying interview experience earlier this week, so wondered if anyone else had their own embarrassing interview stories to share for us all to have a collective laugh/it may be somewhat therapeutic :)
I spilt an entire glass of water over myself at an AC yesterday during my interview and I would still rather relive that experience than have to see another post from RonRod.
Thank you! It was honestly like a comedy sketch and will probably never live it down.
Ah well, at least I’ll always have a funny story to pull out if needs be? But hope that goes to show everyone that things can always go much, much worse!
