does anyone have any advice for coping with not getting a tc after a vac scheme? it was my first vac scheme and i'm really struggling with it. i haven't had any feedback yet so not sure where i went wrong/what i could've done better, and in all honesty i thought the scheme had gone really well...
I've tested positive for covid today and my in-person vac scheme starts a week today. At what point should I email them and tell them/ask what happens if I'm still testing positive in a week?
I received a vacation scheme offer at the end of January. I replied by email to confirm my acceptance and didn't receive a response (which I understand is normal). The start date is 13th June and I haven't heard anything since. At what point should I email just to check everything's okay/ask if...
does anyone have any advice for answering a question about when you've paid attention to detail? i've never really had a job where I've had to proof read or anything similar - does anyone have any examples of what they use? my last resort is discussing something uni related but i'd rather not...
I haven't just because I'd rather wait and post if I got the TC offer off the back of it. Wouldn't say there's anything wrong with it though, more just a personal choice
I emailed them earlier this week and they said they'd finish reviewing Cardiff VIs by Friday. Not sure whether that also means we'll defo hear back by the end of tomorrow
has anyone done AS's headstart into vacation schemes? was it useful? i had a look at it but for summer schemes the two workshops are actually during my vs so i won't be able to attend, wondered if anyone had ever asked if they could do the one in march for a summer scheme?
omg just had the call to say i got the simmons vs for bristol 😭😭😭 haven't stopped shaking since and don't think my heart rate will be going down for a while lol. big thank you to everyone on this forum for being so supportive and encouraging! it would be a much lonelier experience without all of...
You do see the other applicants in between the different tasks and have a quick discussion about how things are going but you don't interact too much. In terms of advice, both the written exercise and case study are quite hard to prep for. For the interview, prep competency examples & the...
Yeah I'd say it's not difficult in terms of actually understanding the information, it's more that it's difficult because there's so much information to comprehend and collate in a short period of time. You do a presentation first and then your interviewer asks a few questions about the case...
I used this as part of an answer for one of my apps and made it to VI (yet to hear back afterwards) so I'd say no! I didn't go into loads of detail but I think it's fine as long as you can focus on what you learnt from it etc rather than the negatives
I wouldn't say you can prep too much for the written exercise and case study other than making sure you're really aware of the time. The interview is a pretty standard competency interview with a few motivational questions thrown in as well, so I'd focus preparations on having competency...
