For the Willkie VI, it says they will test my 'understanding of law firms'. Is this a general question about the structure of Law Firms, how they operate etc or can I assume this is a question about my understanding of Willkie specifically? Thanks!
I had a problem when I took it - the link was broken and was coming up as "invalid" or something like this - i just kept clicking it over a period of over two hours and eventually it went through to the test... I guess all you can do is keep trying but im almost 100% you won't be disadvantaged...
Yep that's the standard response. Think you get put on hold if you meet the criteria - they are then going to look at the applications in more detail in the New Year to decide who to invite to interview
Could be the fast-track from the First Year Easter Scheme? Last year I was the first proper interview slot and that was mid January. They have 60 spaces so I wouldn't worry too much!
Nope it was the 11th...that's a bit naughty of them to close it without warning! I guess they have had a massive increase in the number of applications hence the change?
I know Allen & Overy did it with their Winter Vac Scheme due to unprecedented interest
Nope they won't look at it so no point doing it.
All they look at is your WE, grades, and the 600 word question - and yes it is solely about extra-curricular and other achievements.
Has anyone been invited to interview for Sullivan & Cromwell? I’ve seen a couple on this forum put on hold (like I was this morning) but I’m not sure whether this means I’m in the “maybe” pile or this is the standard response for those not rejected.
thanks
I'm pretty sure the WG is not nearly as important as the Capp test - on this forum alone I've seen people get to interview with a whole plethora of percentiles.
I would stick to the questions being asked - I didn't use my 'Why Law' answer.
When talking to Grad Rec of a different Firm, they said they mark down applicants who don't answer the question set - so would be careful in this regard
