    Slaughter & May Winter workshop

I understand that; my point was more that you don't get to incorporate anything you learn on the WW in the S and M Cover Letter Yep - mostly people that applied in September and very early October though.

    Slaughter & May Winter workshop

Tbf, as no travel arrangements etc need to be made I would say that 15 days is quite a long way away... Surely that means though that the scheme is after the TC deadline? That doesn't make sense as you will have to submit your application before the scheme starts?

Reusing part of a cover letter

Surely attending the Open Day would have adjusted, improved, or altered somewhat why you were interested in Slaughter and May?

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

For the Ropes & Grey question: "What three proposals would you make to the Partnership if you were Chairperson of Ropes & Gray?" do you think there is a carte blanche to answer this how you see fit (i.e. mentioning culture, new areas of growth, strengthening existing areas etc) or are they...

The whole Magic Circle minus Slaughters are ranked in the top two Bands on Chambers UK for PE Buyouts; alongside those White & Case, Macfarlanes

I would always suggest yes - with both there is still around two weeks to the deadline.

On their website it said they would be holding TC interviews between March and August so not for a while I would think!

    2020-21 Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion

I found out I’d passed within 48 hours. Not sure they’re doing rolling recruitment this year so probably won’t hear back about ACs until the new year

Congrats!! Can I ask when you applied/whether Law/Non Law? I think there’s quite a few write-ups of the Slaughters’ interview process on TCLA somewhere

    Herbert Smith Freehills App

No it isn’t - there are 12 scenario questions (put your most and least likely response to X); 26 personality questions: 12 verbal reasonings (similar to a WG but not exactly the same). It is timed though so be aware of that! best of luck!

I was told by NRF Grad Rec last year to use that 200 words box to talk about extra-curricular stuff; I would possibly mention it in the cover letter if you have other WE you want to talk about?

    Slaughter & May Winter workshop

No, I didn't - I just put in an application for a TC back in early October; yet to hear anything

    Ask A Graduate Recruiter Anything!

I attended a Skadden webinar and the head of Grad Rec said that whilst they are reviewing applications on a rolling basis they are not making any decisions about who progresses until after the deadline.

    Slaughter & May Winter workshop

I guess to a point but it does hire from a wide range of universities - what they care about more is grades, was on a application workshop and they do look for a 67,68 average (this was for the VS/TC, maybe it is a bit more lenient for the WW)

It's 7 days from when you receive the test link but I am not sure if it is different when the 7th day is after the deadline. Maybe worth an email to Grad Rec?

Awesome best of luck for that! May I ask if you study Law/Non-Law as i know they were separate jobs on the application system!
