I never received this email at all. I think I may have applied sufficiently early that they didn't feel the need to send one. Either way, I expect there will be some sort of Clifford Chance-style restriction or an online test from next year now lol.- Matt_96

Perhaps I'm being cynical but I know the biggest factors that led me to apply there were not really Reed Smith-specific but more the fact that the deadline was quite a lot later, the application form (initially) was very easy and could be done quickly and there was no WG test. Interesting. I'm on the LPC right now and have managed to get through at least one of their stages after the automatic situational judgment test and it hasn't so far seemed to be an issue - although I'm not confident that I'll reach the AC itself.- Matt_96
