Just been rejected from Akin Gump a month after my AC. Not that disappointed as, on reflection, I'm not sure they were the right firm for me. Hope others had better news! Looking forward to Travers Smith and Gibson Dunn this week :)- Daniel Boden

Ask A Graduate Recruiter Anything!
Be honest! If you don't know the answer to something just say you don't know - lawyers are paid to give correct advice so if you start giving a response that you know is a load of rubbish that will come across very badly. Which LPC? BPP or University of Law?
I've chosen ULaw to do the GDL and the main reason for that is because with ULaw you do 3 exams in Jan and 4 exams in May/June whereas with BPP I believe you sit all your exams at the end of the year (i.e. 7, 3-hour exams in around 2 weeks) which seems to be very tough- Daniel Boden

Also just been rejected from Kirkland post-AC. Pretty gutted I won't lie as I really thought they were the firm for me and felt I performed well on the AC :(. Hopefully the opportunity to get feedback will be useful! Definitely going to use this as motivation for my interviews with Travers...- Daniel Boden

Freshfields - no Ropes & Gray - no (summer VS but their ACs are in March so I'll imagine they'll start letting people know fairly soon) Dechert - no (summer VS: their GradRec team seems a bit of a joke this year - 4 calls and 4 emails later I still haven't had a reply or spoken to anyone!)...- Daniel Boden
