    2022 TCs and GDL

It’s less than ideal. But seems there is an accelerated GDL programme. I still haven’t found it but presumably it exists if law firms are talking about it? University of law have a GDL that starts in January, so presumably that finishes on time to start the LPC.

    2022 TCs and GDL

It’s not, are they delaying TC assessments too? This is a smaller city firm. Saw another firm has delayed until early 2021. Not sure how that’ll work for people who need to do the GDL, maybe they’ll shift to SQE.

    Pinsent Mason's 4000 character questions

I don’t think you have to fill the full quota of characters but if you were nowhere near then I’d question whether you have included enough detail in your example. Don’t just add words for the sake of it though. Every word needs to have a purpose.

    I think you have issues.

At least you have closure. Heads up and move onto the next app. Best of luck.

Yeah, but you’ll struggle if you can’t handle a bit of realism and only listen to happy clappy types.

Sorry to hear that. As a silver lining you at least have closure ahead of the long weekend. Are you still in the process for any others? Plenty of schemes are still open so hang in there. Linklaters has just opened and is a straightforward application form (no questions to answer).

I don’t really understand the dislikes for a bit of realism and common sense. Best of luck with your career in law if you can’t handle that.

I’m just using logic and common sense. - It’s a bank holiday - people who did the VI as recently as last Friday have had offers - the ACs start on Tuesday - the email doesn’t commit to letting you know if you have been unsuccessful by the 8th - they sent out a holding email before when the...

I was paraphrasing. But it doesn’t say “whether or not...” Not saying they’re silently rejecting, those will follow later I imagine. It’s a bank holiday now. I’m not meaning to be negative but you have to be realistic and I imagine a lot of people will be thinking about it all weekend. More...

The email said they’d notify if successful by the 8th at the latest, so I think it’s fair to assume that anyone that hasn’t heard wasn’t successful. On to the next one...

Fluent would be the closest to native...but I’m surprised there isn’t native as an option.

Was just about to post about the bank holiday tomorrow - completely overlooked this in the midst of lockdown. It was only when trying to schedule a meeting for tomorrow and being rebuffed that I realised, or else I’d have just worked as normal, ha.

On another forum but may have been some on here. Also had some PMs.

I’ve seen people who were rejected pre-tests and VI. Not many but considering you mostly hear the positives that isn’t surprising. How many of us in here will say we were rejected versus the number who say they got through to the AC and asking for advice?

    Linklaters

That’s how I read it too, except if you were successful in the online assessment and failed at a later stage (interview) and have acted on the feedback received. Anyone else struggling to input their module grades? I can’t get their form to find any of my modules to add and it doesn’t let you...

Given the current circumstances, I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t hear back today. They must be under enormous pressure and really stretched with everything that is going on.
