I doubt you can do a vacation scheme on your work visa - you generally need to find a job in the sam occupation code or on the job shortage list and even then it's limited to 20 hours per week. Unsure if any firm can/would take the effort to sponsor a separate work visa simply for a vac scheme...
Just to add a small point to this brilliant answer - IP can also increase the value of a start-up!
To quote from this article here -
A startup's worth is based on its potential to generate future cash flows, how much potential it has for future aspects, and keeping other essential factors...
If the error you're worried about is the double confirmation of receipt, I would hold off on emailing as this can happen due to system settings. In any case, even if you were to email the firm of CVMailUK, I'm unsure what that would achieve as even though the emails were sent twice, they confirm...
It may just be the case that if you practice a little more widely that your scores get better! Linking my post here and another one here that you can come back to when you decide to focus on the WG again 😊
I have loved reading your introduction - your candour comes through instantly! I was jotting down these points as I read through so that I was sure that I hadn't missed anything in my reply.
Many firms do not consider GCSEs and A-Levels anymore. Those that require these grades from you must be...
Amazing @j.s.cox! I love how active you've been on the forum even after securing your TC 👏👏👏Your willingness to help others and enthusiasm to share your insight is honestly so refreshing! We're lucky to have you on the forum 😊
So happy to open the forum to this! Very glad that you decided to make this thread, it's genuinely such a great way to connect with fellow applicants and see where you started from ➡️ what you achieved and went on to go to!
Love that you did a month-by-month break down of everything you've...
This is my nightmare - my fluency in my third/fourth language is basic and I feel like I would jumble up my sentences if I was ever put on the spot as a test to see how good I am 😅 I feel like we tend to worry most about the things that have the least chance of occurring! Having said that, I...
Given what the app questions cover, it may be a good idea to use the cover letter to talk about what sparked your interest in commercial law and the firm, what areas you're looking forward to experiencing in your TC and what attributes you're most excited to demonstrate in your work as a...
I'd say go for the interview - you have to do what's best for you and I think having this experience will enable you to make a decision about your TC in a more informed and less regretful manner. Let us know what you choose in the end!
Hi @ScoUting! Great update - nice and succinct!
Do you have some good resources for your WG practice? And what are you working on for Forsters?
Fingers crossed but managing expectations is a super mature way to approach this process! 👏
Have you tried looking at law firm reports? Or reports by consultancies like McKinsey, BCG etc.? They usually have really good industry insights that you can use to understand the geopolitical atmosphere in a particular jurisdiction and its impact on business!
Thinking on the spot is not the same as having an answer ready to fire off - it's absolutely okay to pause to respond! A really good tip is to speak in an even tone, in a measured and considered way. This helps you control the flow of your answers and bolt on ideas to your response while you're...
If you dig through Google scholar (this will take a fair bit of effort), you may find publications by PhD researchers who have studied a whole range of Watson Glaser questions with a full set of answers and the explanations for them. This was definitely the hidden gem for me when I was...
@readylawyer1 congratulations! This is a massive achievement and you should be so proud 👏👏👏
Before I link some posts from the forum to help you prepare, just to say, don't be daunted by the fact that your AC is in person! The format is likely going to be quite different from a virtual AC...
