    Hi @Amma Usman When you submit for Latham do they send the test through immediately to do be done within a set time. I have my application ready but am about to go on holiday so will submit when I am back if it is likely to come through quickly as I would rather do the test at home.

    You do not need to be a solicitor advocate to become a Deputy District Judge. Any solicitor who had 5 years PQE may apply. I know someone going through the process currently who is a corporate solicitor. The process is different in that they do the testing first and then they interview 2-3...

    You would be surprised. Many of the larger firms are now taking interns, then keeping them on when they are NQ and indeed the qwe is all relevant to their practice area rather than 6 months in 4 different areas. Thus they are better at that area than a NQ trainee. Same as FILEX solicitors...

    The benefit of self funding SQE is that paralegal work you may later get or even have already completed counts towards the qualifying work experience so you can qualify as a solicitor having never done a training contract if you never get one but use just qwe instead.

    When I applied there was no option to choose which scheme. They then emailed and asked which I wanted to attend and I replied Spring but was also available for Summer too. No response since. This was after VI.
