I disagree. I suspect it could mark you out as "that person" and lead people to form the view that you are difficult. You never knkw when you might come across these people as they move firms and you try to.
They're a law firm so work weekends too remember! :p I would have assumed Wednesday too! Was it after the actual time the link was sent. E.g. if you got the response at 10am did it expire at 10 am?
Can't remember which post it referred to but please don't make SAR requests if you may want to apply next cycle. Unnecessary way to piss people off if they review old applications.
The question asks you to check it's secure not to get in. So you make a judgment how many times you need to try and not get in to show its secure rather than actually crack the code. 30 mins I am afraid may indicate you didn't understand what you were supposed to be doing.
With cover letters that are expressed to be one page rather than by word count is the general consensus that we don't put our address/their address? It takes up so much space.
