Completed HSF test and the feedback was moderate fit for everything but the last one which has no negative element. I’ve seen many post this feedback report does not replicate their answers is this sort of feedback similar to anyone else’s?
Do I have to complete the Linklaters Watson Glaser test again if even if I already did it for the open day? It bypass me for the Capp test but unsure if it’ll do the same for the Watson Glaser.
Agreed.
I also went to chatgpt and asked it to give examples of each assessed section. I wouldn’t advise using it for testing as that would be silly but for practice and gaining an understand of what is actually being asked of you is key. As someone who is neurodivergent I find reading between...
How many posts are you going to do about Dechert. You’ve posted at least 20 times in the past 5 days. I understand you’re waiting and it’s annoying to have to wait but it’s equally annoying to see “has anyone heard from dechert” 3/4 times a day. You stated they emailed you saying to hold tight...
HL rejection. Ridiculous. I submitted a great application. I assume I passed the Watson Glaser given the lack of reason in the email. I do not know what these firms look for. I’m happy to compare my HL answers with anyone via DM.
Why would the firm view an application that hasn’t passed the test benchmark. That would be a waste of their time. If the test is there I’d assume it’s for a reason and that would be to cut the numbers of applicants and “review the best applications”. I don’t believe those who pass the WG are...
Reality a lot of these questions will over lap with other firms and you’d have an answer for them already. Extra curriculars, hobbies, something you’re interested in, teamwork, leadership etc. Therefore you’re not really writing 2000 every time. I’d suggest you make a word doc with answers to...
Pretty standard and understandable. Why would they give a vacation scheme spot to someone who is applying to a bunch of firms with no genuine interest in their firm.
Although many on this forum find me to be a non law hater. I will say this firm didn’t like non law students in the slightest. When a question about the firm whether it be application process, funding or general seat queries she’d just say “go to our website everything is there”. Very dismissive...
Yeah but Slaughter and May pick solely on university and grades no matter how good your application is. That is worse than any test imo. As someone who goes to a top ranked university with good grades I most definitely have the potential to apply to there yet refuse.
