SJT results a mixed bag: Definitely unsuccessful?

I'm quite nervous, because there's some positive feedback from my assessment (some categories of "a natural passion and capability", "demonstrated exceptional capability") but some seem absolutely blunt and indicative of a rejection ("definite room for improvement", "considerable room for growth").

In people's experiences, are most successful candidates stellar across the board?

Just seeking slight reassurance as to whether anyone's made a successful application in similar circumstances.

Thanks :)

Hey @TheUnreasonableMan,
I think it is very difficult to tell and this test is quite difficult to gauge so I would not worry too much about the results. People get different results and some get through the next stages and some do not and i guess it is the nature of the application game.

I remember that my Latham SJT results were very good last year, all positive, and regardless of this, I did not get through to the next stage. Some people got seemingly worse results and got through the process. I think you just have to work on understanding how to tackle the test and focus on that specifically.

One thing that helps is focusing on the firm's values (which you can find on the website generally) and keep them in mind when you do the test. This seems to be very helpful to a lot of people so I hope that is helpful to you too!

Good luck with your applications!
