Hello, as the title suggests. I just got my final set of results today (about an hour ago). I have been awarded a 2:1 and i was two marks from a first, i feel that i should be really happy but i am not for some reason. I feel disappointed in myself. My dream law firm is Clyde&Co and i just want to know if a 2:1 is good enough. Thank you :)

Hey @Sunshinepink ! Huge congratulations on graduating and your 2:1!!!

It is very rare for a law firm to expect a 1st and usually applications are looked at as a whole (grades, interview, application answers etc). I am sure you have a great set of results and they will only aid your application.

Let me know if there are any other questions you need answering.

    Laura :)

    Yes - plus it isn’t just a 2.1, you have a high 2.1

Hello, I want to ask about resumes now that i can call myself a Law graduate because i have my classification. I would previously list my modules and the grades because i did not have an overall grade but is that still necessary? Would it be better to state my degree classification and just list my modules without the marks but keep a more in detail resume for legal applications? Thank you! :)

I would say it doesn’t hurt to add the marks in, especially if you are super proud of them! You have spent 3+ years getting those grades so you might as well show them off. Equally, you do not have to, but will likely need to declare them anyway at some point in those applications so you might as well from the beginning.
