To me your views don’t necessarily need to be tied to integrity or ethics.
It could be that you changed your views for a greater good. It could be that your views were changed because you saw things from a different perspective.
A STAR(R) format will be the best way to approach this type of question.
I think this is a good place to bring in working in groups and instances where you have had to compromise in order to propel the vision and aims of the group forward. As @Jessica Booker said bringing in STAR and walking your interviewer through your change in perspective about your views and why you felt you needed to soften/compromise on them will be beneficial.
Hi, I don't necessarily have an answer to this question, but I was asked this question in a recent interview. I didn't have an example, so I said something along the lines of "I haven't personally been in this situation, but if I were, I know I would act with transparency, honesty, integrity etc. Even though a view/value was compromised, I always make sure to uphold my own views, as well as the values of the organisation/team I'm working at/in, since this is something I firmly believe in". Not a perfect answer, but it worked
