I did the first-year scheme last year and applied for Spring on 6th November. Have not heard back anything at all, when did you guys apply?
Hey Guest, do you have a question for graduate recruitment? Gemma Baker from Willkie is live to answer your questions!

Hello, thanks for the feedback! I definitely picked a few that I wasn't 100% interested in, but White & Case really stood out to me because I met with them at a law fair, and I spent a year abroad during my degree so I really wanted that international secondment haha! To be fair though, there's probably a thousand other candidates who have a year abroad as well to offer so I definitely need to work on trying to convince them to choose me!

Will do!Hi LuLa, congratulations!
If you have the time and are willing (and haven't done something similar already!), I am sure people would love to hear your story over on this thread: https://www.thecorporatelawacademy.com/forum/threads/training-contract-success-stories.1404/
I can't get over how nice everyone is on here! Thank you so so much, I will PM you nowI've had a very similar experience. In my first cycle, all my applications were rejected at the application stage, then in the second I got some video interviews, tests and one in-person interview but still no offers. Things finally worked out this year (my third cycle)! So I hope you guys can see the progression there haha.
@maddie34567 and everyone else who would like the help - I currently have a bit of free time, so my PMs are open if anyone would like a second opinion on an application, or just wants some advice/to chat
Just a quick message to everyone who applied to Mayer Brown: the system they use for sending invitations isn't good at all. I got through to the test stage but did not receive an email (neither in spam nor my inbox, nor did an invitation it come up in the Correspondences section of Apply4Law) and only found out when I logged into Apply4Law where it said the time to do the test expired. I emailed them about this and hopefully they let me do the test.....
Likewise last year, I got to the AC for a direct TC but they never emailed me a link so I could choose my phone interview slot. I only found out when I got email saying I had been deemed to have withdrawn from the process having not chosen a phone interview slot. Thankfully, they let me do the phone interview.
So if you're waiting on an email from Mayer Brown, I'd recommend checking the Apply4Law system where you applied!
Apply4Law is one of the most popular systems for law firms but I've never had an issue like that before!Damn that sounds awful.. thank you for sharing. Do any other firms use the same system as Mayer Brown?
Yes it is! I just assumed Mayer Brown had some kind of different apply4law system because I haven't experienced this either!Apply4Law is one of the most popular systems for law firms but I've never had an issue like that before!
Hi everyone,
I found out yesterday that I have been offered a training contract with Clifford Chance and I am unbelievably overwhelmed. I wanted to come on here to encourage everyone else to keep going and not give up because you can achieve your wildest dreams. I haven't had any legal work experience either, so for those receiving vac scheme rejections, please remember that it is possible without! I wish everyone the best of luck with their applications & I would be happy to help anyone going forward - please just drop me a message!
Thank you so so much!!Massive congratulations on your offer!!! I hope you’ve been celebrating! ☺️
Would you mind mentioning when you interviewed as I’ve yet to hear back. Thanks!
Thank you so so much!!
I interviewed on the 16th and found out 1pm on the 17th. I hope that helps, and I wish you all the success!!
Anyone heard from HSF (Spring Scheme)?
I'm still waiting
When did you guys apply?
