EDITED:
Hi!

I am a final year non-law student from a RG uni, with a predicted 2:1.

Wanted to start off by saying this is my second cycle, with NO luck last year. I definitely went down the quantity over quality route last time. I applied for around 30 VS/TC last year and as I said, no luck.

This year :

RPC - training contract offer

TLT - vac scheme offer
Goughs - vac scheme offer
Womble Bond Dickinson - vac scheme offer

DAC Beachcroft - got an AC but withdrew

Irwin Mitchell - rejected after AC

Blake Morgan - rejected after interview

Osborne Clarke - rejected after online assessment
Burges Salmon - rejected after online assessment
Michelmores - rejected after online assessment

From what I have learnt so far, specifically with ACs - be yourself! They want personality, so be chatty and bubbly. And be passionate, they can see it when its real!

This year so far:

TLT - accepted onto vacation scheme
Goughs - accepted onto vacation scheme

Irwin Mitchell - got an AC
RCP - got an AC
WBD - got an AC
DAC Beachcroft - got an AC
(waiting for all)

Bevan Brittan - in process, just got video interview
Blake Morgan - in process, just done second round interview

Osborne Clarke - rejected after online assessment
Burges Salmon - rejected after online assessment
Michelmores - rejected after online assessment

Wow congrats! Your new approach is definitely working! Fingers crossed for you 🤞. If you don’t mind me asking, what sorts of questions did you get asked in second Blake Morgan interview? I know it focuses on their ACTS framework 😊

Thank you, and the same to you! It was mainly just motivation / why I want to work with them. There was a couple situational questions also, eg how I would act in certain situations …
